Really Random Ramblings

Went to the strangest funeral ever today Still working on building a winter wardrobe Treated myself to a nice lunch today with views of the river Rude employees in stores burn me up I felt better today (physically and mentally) than I have felt in a long time I think my vitamin regimen is finally kicking in Adding pads, cushions, and arch support to your shoes is the best thing you can do for yourself Sometimes we think we are suffering from serious ailments and do more damage by taking pain relievers rather than finding the source of the dis-ease I really hope I can stay motivated and energized through the long, dark winter months Lately I've been like a child, not wanting to go to bed at bedtime Today I went shopping mostly for other people's kids I did buy a few things for myself!  I am tired of looking run down It's time to make a change (as Michael Jackson would say) I need to make some decisions FAST about 2012 Jill Scott has a right to be pissed about ...

God Said...

This weekend the plans were to do the usual chores and errands and get some work in. God said that wasn't happening. Saturday I wasn't feeling 100 percent so I was planning to relax. I could deal with the cold, but the noise and the crowds were beyond me. I was ready to go! As it turned out, by the time I found him the police were shutting it all down! It was only 5PM. In the past they would party all night. So we left and warmed up in a Starbucks in the nearby Target before heading out to get something to eat. I didn't want to eat in Harlem so we drove to New Jersey and ate at Fuddrucker's. Had never been, but heard from someone that it has good ...

Daily blessing #1

Image
I was driving around today when I saw this mural on a wall in East Harlem. I got out of car to take a picture of it. A couple of blocks later I was pulled over and summoned for a defective brake light. I guess the blessing in this is that at least I wasn't driving at night when I could have been involved in an accident as a result of not having my brake light working. Thank you God for your watchful eye of protection.
