Blessings, affirmations, grace, and reflection

Man, listen! I miss having money tucked away in different places. This recession has taken a toll on me. I was excited because I got paid today. I checked my balance and discovered that the car insurance company took the entire six month payment out in one fell swoop through auto pay. I could have sworn I changed my payment plan. This sucks for me because I still have to pay student loan and car note with this check. I was looking forward to having some 'extra' money around to play with. I'm trying to be good about taking care of business, but these unexpected expenses hurt. The good news is I won't be stretching that expense out. This also affects my plans to take a vacation. I dread the thought of not taking a vacation this summer, but damn I might have to wait until Christmas to head home now. I'm good though. Just need to do a little juggling this month.

Happy Father's Day to any dads who land upon my long forgotten blog. I had a stressful week, but I will come out on the other side as always.  Most of the stress was work related and while I don't like to vent about work on here, I feel like I need an outlet for my frustrations. I have been holding it in and then it always comes out in the most inappropriate times and ways. Please be patient with me, God is not through with me yet. I start vacation next week. Yay!  I planned to travel and possible move. Well, the devil quickly squashed those plans.  My student loans became due and I was threatened with have having my salary garnished if I didn't fork over nearly $1K a month! Extortion. It is crazy because you can have your credit card bills settled and negotiated, but your education expenses can cause you to be homeless. What is wrong with this world? I will never advise a person to take out student loans. If you can't afford to pay for your education yourself or get ...

Can everyone say aaaahhhhhhhh!!!! From the depths of your gut. Only a matter of hours at this point until we evict GW up outta' the big house and we can focus on getting through the rest of this year. In retrospect, this is the worst year I've experienced in a long time. For one thing, I've been sick most of this year and for another my finances are not what they should be. I'm a Taurus so that has a major impact on my life. I need the security of a good financial situation. As an aside, my cat is so athletic. She is racing through the apartment like she is on a fitness course, jumpinh over things and bouncing (literally) off the wall. She gallops the whole length of the apartment, bats things around with her paw, then lies down to catch her breath. Hysterical! So, now that Halloween is over and done with, bring on the egg nog and peppermint!
