An Abundant Life

What a day. Again, I did not hit my goals but boy did I do a lot! I went out move the car and thought I would pick up some groceries while I was out. Well, I then decided that I wanted to do a little clothes shopping so I went into Marshall's. What did I do that for?  I usually avoid stores like Marshall's and TJ Maxx because you have to really spend time looking to get some good deals. For some reason everything was a good deal to me. I guess because I hadn't really been treating myself to shopping excursions as much as I used to back in the day. I used to be a shopoholic. Now I hardly shop at all. I found mostly tops, but that is because that is all I looked through. I went through those racks about three times, finally weeding out what didn't work. I walked away with some nice pieces that can pass for workplace casual. You can dress them up or down. I went HAM crazy in the housewares section. I really want to get organized and I am totally overdue for a makeover. I...

Unseasonable

Today was unseasonably warm. While I wound up having a bout of depression creep up on my I forced myself out of the house to partake in the weather. I went to the Golden State Plaza Mall. Most boring mall ever! Every time I go to that mall I am bored out of my mind. It is a big mall, but not very engaging. Went to Nordstrom's and Macy's MAC counters to get a tube of Desire lip glasse. Both of them out. Both of them also had very unpersonable staff working there. Ugh! I remember when MAC had the most exciting and engaging staff in the entire the cosmetics department. Music would be bumping and chairs sales would be ringing. It was like a party! Now, eh! I will probably have to go down to the MAC store on 125th Street to get it or go downtown to 34th Street where the "real" professionals work! Either that of go to the Macy's at Palisade's. Now that is an engaging mall! Any way, the only reason I went to the mall was to go to the Coach store for their Poppy per...

Mondays

Seriously, something about Mondays prevent you from being productive whether you are working or not. Today was completely unproductive. I had a long to do list and the most I completed was sending out emails. I waited all day for Con Ed to come turn the gas on. They never came! I walked to the shopping center across the bridge from me and as I expected it was a complete waste of time. I quickly remembered why I don't like going to the Target over there. I started to stress out and wound up walking out empty handed. I found one thing that was on my list. One! I left it there because I didn't want to be bother with the line for one item. I went over to Bed, Bath, and Beyond and walked out of there with one thing - that wasn't on my list. I realized though that I need to go to BBB more often. Just not that one. It was so cluttered and unkempt on a Monday afternoon. Sad. This is why I shop in the suburbs. I also realized that the sales tax across the bridge is 5% less than...
