The grass is always greener on the other side of the bridge

Wait, now that I think of it I didn't see any grass. I had a nice day today. I took a walk down a neighborhood street with a girl who was doing a project for school. Not sure if what I had to contribute was useful, but hey. It was too nice a day to go back home, so I got my nails done.  A pretty pink  color to match the sweater I was wearing. I'm going to wait until next week to get my pedicure. I need to also get my eyebrows threaded and get an hour long massage. My muscles are so tense. I have to start taking better care of myself. I also need to get a gym membership going again. This is the year I get myself together. I have my passport book and card and I am ready to go right now! I went to Brooklyn after I got a manicure and had the most wonderful sangria I've ever had at a place literally around the corner from my old apartment in Brooklyn, called Outpost . They put ginger in that baby! It was delicious! They also had a homestyle mac and cheese and a nice selection...

Allergies, Brooklyn, and Malik Yoba

So just in time for my four days off I get hit with allergies. How annoying! I stayed in relaxing Saturday and Sunday, but made it a point to get out and enjoy the unusual winter sunshine on Monday. I decided I would head to Brooklyn since I hadn't been over there in a while. I intended to go see this, but couldn't find parking so I just took pictures of the old neighborhood. I was expecting more changes. Many of the businesses were closed. Not sure if it was because it was early in the day, if it was the holiday, if it was Monday, or if they were closed for good. Will have to read the neighborhood blogs to get the scoop.  As I was passing a cute little place tucked away on a quiet street, I nearly bumped into Malik Yoba as he came barreling out with a cute little cafe au lait , naturally curly about half his age trailing at his heels. By the time I look around he had jumped into his black BMW and was gone in a flash. I think my camera scared him. I still have tomorrow off and...
