The Magic of Gratitude

I think that my theme word for this year is gratitude. I have been so grateful for everything that has been happening in my life. Even when it doesn't seem to be working out in my favor I remain in gratitude. So, of course I have another testimony to share. But first I want to share Romans 12:6-21 which talks about love in action.

Now, let's talk about The Magic. I am still making my way through it and today Magic Practice 24 spoke directly to me. It was called The Magic Wand and it talks about helping others through the magic. Well, I was thinking about grateful I am for my blessings and I thought about my former coworker who was having a hard time. I thought about contacting her to see how she was doing when she contacted me to refer her to the same place where I am going to be working. Not the exact same location but the same organization. Turns out she had 3 offers and needed a letter of recommendation. Now, let me tell you, God drew me to her and convinced me to offer her words of encouragement while we were both going through the storm. So it is so interesting that we are both winding up in the same place. Sometimes God will place certain people in your life under the worst circumstances for different reasons. Well, The Magic says that "gratitude is an invisible but real force of energy and coupled with the energy of your desire it is just like having a magic wand." So just the thought of wishing that she could also have good fortune was enough to bless her. She had a different plan for this year that I knew was not the right one but God directed her path guided her away from that choice.

I have also used this practice by blessing strangers on the street in need of grace. It is like waving a magic wand over them and blessing them with what they need. "Using gratitude to help someone else with his or her health, wealth, and happiness is the single greatest act of gratitude that you can perform."
