The writing on the wall....

Sometimes change is needed but you want to hold on in spite
of the writing on the wall. The need to change or let go
can be obvious, inevitable and the signs are everywhere
to be seen and heard. You may be resisting it with
all your might in fear of the unknown or the need to have
what's comfortable and familiar remain status quo.
A train could be coming your way warning
you to stop procrastinating...stop being silent...stop closing
your eyes...stop the craziness in your life...stop resisting the
cycles of life...stop putting yourself in harm's way...stop allowing
the enemy to trick you...stop focusing your time and energy on
the wrong priorities...stop and get off the tracks.
Or unexpected change can hit you on the blind side and you say to yourself, "I didn't even see that coming!"
A big question is why do so many people stay
on the tracks when they see a train coming?
I think it's because individuals inherently despise change
or they think they can control the train! Those who are
proactive, anticipate change, and act quickly, get off the
tracks and become passengers on another train.
Resisting by closing your eyes or sitting on the tracks is a dangerous position.

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude. Don't complain." ~ Maya Angelou
"Change has considerable psychological impact on the human mind.
If you are fearful, change is threatening because it means that things may get worse.
If you are hopeful, change is encouraging because things may get better.
If you are confident, change is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."
~ King Whitney, Jr.
"Change yourself and your work will seem different.
Change your thoughts and you change your world." ~ Norman Vincent Peale
"Change. It has the power to uplift, to heal, to stimulate, surprise, open new doors, bring fresh experience and create excitement in life. Certainly it is worth the risk." ~ Leo Buscaglia
"Everything must change, nothing and no one stays the same." ~Nina Simone lyrics
"The truth is that our finest moments are most likely to occur when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable, unhappy, or unfulfilled. For it is only in such moments, propelled by our discomfort, that we are likely to step out of our ruts and start searching for different ways or truer answers." ~ M. Scott Peck
"It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change." ~ Charles Darwin
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven. ~ Ecclesiastes 3
