The holidays, which are meant to bring out the best in people, can often have the opposite effect. An apparent glutton for punishment, I have agreed to spend Thanksgiving with a friend who I have written about on here before. And while she has taken it down a notch, and we seemed to have overcome the past issues, today the old problems bubbled back up the to the surface. We talked it out, but I still feel there are underlying issues. Now we have to spend part of Thanksgiving together. One word. Awkward. Herein lies part of the problem (that has yet to be addressed). We agreed to spend time with a mutual friend on Thanksgiving Day. After we agreed to spend the day with said friend, she decides that she would rather spend the day with two of her other (unmutual) friends who also live across the B&T (bridges and tunnels) and then eventually land at said friend's house last because friend tends to run late and she is going to be ready to eat early.
