Blessings, affirmations, grace, and reflection

Usually I feel like the holly daze come upon us too fast, but this year is different. This year I am craving the comfort of a big mug of thick egg nog and the delicious smell of pine and cinnamon in the air. Bring on the Holly Daze!

'jolie-laide' is a new word to add to my very limited French vocabulary. Jezebel posted an article about "Ugly Betty" and one of the commenters posted about the French word ' jolie-laide ' which describes someone who is not classically beautifu l. I've never felt Beyonce beautiful, but I do have pretty days. Every notice how attractive people are smiled at more often? Start with the inside and work your way out. Beauty is more than skin deep so when you exude beauty and confidence in your demeanor then others will shine that light back to you. And if they don't then they probably need to find their own light of self-love. Just some food for thought.

I am so ready to get started. Everything in my life is in park. I'm ready to change gears and go places. I know a few months from now I will complaining, wishing I had time to stop, but right now I want to drive. I've been on an extended hiatus from working out. I'm ready to get back into shape. I know most people like to do it in the summer, but I am ready now. I love to look cute and I am tired of my body being loosey goosey. I've filled up my fuel tank and I am ready to pull out of the parking space and get on the road.

It took me over 30 years to finally learn that the key to having a successful relationship is communication. I've been giving a lot of thought about reuniting with the star. As I said, we've been staying in contact and I think we both have unresolved feelings for each other. Here is where I feel we went wrong...he kept trying to figure out what we were doing and I kept blowing him off. I wouldn't open up, I wouldn't talk about my wants or needs with him. Wrong, wrong, wrong! I stumbled on this post about men who won't put a title on relationships. It caught my attention because a friend is caught up in the undefined zone right now. This has never been a problem for me because I've never asked for anything. I've never wanted a title, ring, etc. Toward the end of the relationship with the star I did want something more with him.
